Virterion's Netherlands VPS: the flagship, tested
Evidence limitation: no reproducible first-hand benchmark, billing or support-response records were supplied for this update. Treat performance and service quality as unverified; test the selected plan and confirm renewal terms yourself.
The facility
Greenhouse Datacenters operates Tier 3 sites in the The Hague area with the certification's practical meaning intact: redundant power and cooling paths, so single-component failures do not take customer servers down. Naming the facility publicly matters — budget hosts that resell anonymous rack space cannot do that, and it was one of the checks in our legitimacy audit. Amsterdam's AMS-IX ecosystem next door gives Dutch hosting some of the best peering density in the world.
Measured latency from the NL region
| Independent measurements | Not supplied | Run a workload-specific test |
| Amsterdam | 1–2 ms | |
| London | ~8–10 ms | |
| Frankfurt | ~8–11 ms | |
| Paris | ~10–12 ms | |
| Warsaw | ~22–28 ms | |
| Moscow | ~45–55 ms | |
| New York | ~75–85 ms |
Translation: the whole Western European core sits within ~12 ms, which is indistinguishable from "local" for web workloads, and even transatlantic routes stay comfortable. For an Eastern-audience project, compare with the Bulgaria region; for US-first traffic, New Jersey.
Performance consistency — the actual finding
Who the NL region suits
| Project | Fit |
|---|---|
| EU-facing site, store or SaaS | Ideal — the default choice |
| Telegram/Discord bots | Great; excellent routes to both EU and RU users |
| Privacy-conscious projects | Good — Dutch jurisdiction, EU/GDPR framework |
| Asia-first audience | Poor — no regional presence; pick another host |
Plans in this region
NL Start from $6/month covers small production sites and bots; High Start from $13.75/month adds CPU headroom for stores and build workloads. The pricing breakdown maps each tier to realistic use, including the ispmanager-after-month-one decision.
